Dieter Schmidt, MD, FAAD, FACMS
Dr. Schmidt holds two board certifications in dermatology and is fellowship-trained in Mohs Micrographic Surgery.
Seattle Metropolitan Magazine has named him a “Top Doctor” in a vote by his peers. He was also voted by his peers as one of the “Best Doctors in Washington State,” and one of the “Best Doctors in America.”
He completed a second residency in dermatology at the University of Colorado, after having completed a residency in dermatology at the University of Stellenbosch.
He completed his fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery at the University of Colorado, which is considered to be one of the most respected Mohs Surgery programs in the country.
Dr. Schmidt’s practice is concentrated on the early diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers, including Mohs Micrographic Surgery. His focus also includes cosmetic dermatology.

Pegi Stewart, ARNP
Pegi Stewart, ARNP, is a highly-regarded, Cosmetic Injection Specialist and national trainer for the makers of various neuromodulators and dermal fillers.
She has spent the past 12 years training plastic surgeons, dermatologists and nurse injectors in the art of injecting neuromodulators and various dermal fillers. More recently, she has been training these physicians on how to use Cellfina, a new long-term treatment for cellulite.
Pegi has over 12 years of experience in using advanced techniques for injecting Botox, Dysport and various dermal fillers, including Juvederm, Voluma, Restylane, Radiesse and Belotero.
She has also served as a Senior Aesthetic Clinical Educator and Medical Device Liaison for Merz where she won numerous ‘Clinical Specialist of the Year’ awards and was responsible for training physicians in and out-of- state. She also was responsible for global interactions with industry Key Opinion Leaders.
Pegi obtained her RN and BSN degrees from Washington State University and then went on to work as an ICU nurse for several years. She then joined one of the state’s most respected Facial Plastic Surgery practices in Kirkland where her practice was focused on facial rejuvenation using Botox and dermal fillers.

Jeanvieve Williamson, LMA
Jeanvieve Williamson, LMA, is a well-respected, licensed Master Medical Aesthetician and certified Laser Operator of Aesthetics with more than 10 years of experience in the fields of aesthetics and anti-aging medicine. She joined us from a highly-regarded, plastic surgery practice in Seattle where she developed a very large and loyal following.
Jeanvieve received her aesthetics training from the prestigious Euro Institute of Skin Care in Seattle, and then went on to obtain her certification as a Laser Operator of Aesthetics from the National Coalition of Laser Excellence.
She also has laser certifications from multiple laser manufacturers and from several skin care product companies in the advanced use of their medical grade skin care products.
Jeanvieve has many years of experience performing medical grade facials, facial waxing, chemical peels, micropeels, dermaplaning and microdermabrasion, as well as using a variety of lasers to treat tattoos, excess hair, facial blood vessels (caused by rosacea or sun damage), age/sun spots, melasma, wrinkles and lines, as well as scarring from acne, surgery or trauma.

Nanci Abell, LMA
Nanci Abell, LMA is a licensed Master Medical Aesthetician with over a decade of experience in the field of Medical Aesthetics. She joined us after 11 years of working in cosmetic laser centers and integrative medical spas in Seattle.
After graduating from the esteemed Euro Institute of Skincare, Nanci became certified in Aesthetic Laser Procedures from the Laser Training Institute. She holds a number of laser and aesthetic device certifications from Cynosure, Syneron, Alma and Ulthera. Nanci has years of experience performing laser hair reduction, IPL, laser resurfacing, tattoo removal and radiofrequency based skin tightening and body contouring. She also performs medical grade facials, chemical peels, dermaplaning and microneedling. Using a variety of modalities, Nanci addresses concerns such as acne, rosacea, sun damage, fine lines, wrinkles and scarring.

Hyunhee Park, DO, FAAD
Dr. Park is a general, aesthetic and surgical dermatologist who cares deeply about treating her patients with compassion and empowering them with knowledge about their dermatological care.
She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Washington, after which she went on to receive her medical degree from Touro University Nevada College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Park then completed her intern training at Valley Hospital Medical Center in Nevada. Pursuing her interest in research, she went on to complete a research fellowship at the Center for Clinical and Cosmetic Research in Aventura, Florida, where she served as a sub-investigator and clinical research coordinator for numerous medical and cosmetic dermatology research studies. She completed her dermatology residency training at Wellington Regional Medical Center and Larkin Community Hospital in Miami, Florida.
Dr. Park is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. She is also a member of several other professional societies, including the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, the American College of Physicians and the American Medical Women’s Association.
Dr. Park has published numerous articles on medical and cosmetic dermatology in several, well-respected, peer-reviewed journals.
She is fluent in Korean and Spanish, and enjoys spending time with her family, reading, cooking, watching movies and dramas, as well as hiking.

Navid Malakouti, MD, FAAD
Dr. Navid Malakouti is a highly respected, board-certified dermatologist with a special interest in medical and surgical dermatology.
He graduated from the University of California San Diego with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Cell Biology and received Provost Honors and Warren College Honors awards for exceptional GPA scores.
He then went on to obtain his MD degree from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine where he earned multiple research scholarships, including for cancer research.
Dr. Malakouti completed his dermatology residency training at Howard University where he was the recipient of several awards and scholarships. He also served as an Adjunct Professor of Biology at Palomar College during his residency training.
He has also won numerous research and other awards, including from the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.

Mark C. Valentine, MD
Dr. Valentine is an internationally-acclaimed, board-certified dermatologist who has been practicing dermatology in Everett since 1979. He has a large, loyal patient following who travel great distances to see him. He is recognized by his dermatologist peers to be one of the top diagnosticians in the state.
Dr. Valentine is a Professor of Dermatology at the University of Washington and has won numerous, peer-nominated awards over the years, including ‘Top Doctors’ in Seattle magazine, ‘Best Doctors’ in WA magazine, ‘Best Doctors in America’ and ‘Best Dermatologists’ in the Daily Herald. He is also a National Merit Scholar and a Phi Beta Kappa member.
Dr. Valentine speaks at both national and international meetings on a regular basis and is internationally recognized for his work on allergic contact dermatitis. He has published many peer-reviewed articles and has served on the editorial board of the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, the most cited, peer-reviewed dermatology journal.
After obtaining a B.A. from West Virginia University, he went on to obtain his M.D. degree from the prestigious Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He then completed his residency training in Internal Medicine and Dermatology at the University Hospitals of Cleveland, recognized as one of the top training programs in the country.
In his free time, Dr. Valentine writes and lectures on the history of dermatology and is also an avid collector of antique dermatology reference books, having one of the most impressive collections in the country. He is also a talented restorer and binder of antique books, and enjoys time playing guitar and piano.

Katie Morrison, MD
Dr. Katie Morrison is a highly-respected, board-certified dermatologist with a special interest in medical dermatology.
She joined us from The Polyclinic where she had a very large and loyal patient following.
Dr. Morrison graduated from the University of California San Diego with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Cell Biology and received the Provost Award and a Chancellor’s Scholarship.
She then obtained her MD degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine where she won two further scholarships.
Dr. Morrison completed her dermatology residency at the University of Texas after completing a year as a clinical dermatology research associate.

Katrina Bassett, MD, FAAD
Dr. Bassett is a board-certified dermatologist whose practice is focused on medical dermatology, particularly cases that are diagnostically or therapeutically challenging.
She especially enjoys working with children, and she dedicated an entire year of her dermatology residency to pediatric dermatology.
Dr. Bassett graduated with a B.S. in Zoology, Magna Cum Laude, from Brigham Young University. She then went on to Loma Linda University, where she earned her M.D. Degree, with the prestigious honor of Alpha Omega Alpha. Joy Wu, DO, FAAD
Dr. Wu is a board-certified dermatologist with a special interest in medical and surgical dermatology.
She attended the University of Maryland where she obtained a B.S. in Zoology and an M.S. in Physiology.
Dr. Wu matriculated into the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, earning her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree and membership in the highly selective Psi Sigma Alpha Honor Society.
Upon finishing medical school, she served with the United States Air Force as a flight surgeon, and then completed her dermatology residency at the Naval Medical Center San Diego.
Dr. Wu went on to serve as Chief of Dermatology at Elmendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage, Alaska. She attained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel prior to separating from the Air Force after ten years of active duty service. She then worked for a private practice in Anchorage before moving to Washington State to join North Sound Dermatology.

Sowmya Ravi, MD, FAAD, FACMS
Dr. Ravi is a board-certified dermatologist and one of only four fellowship-trained Mohs Micrographic Surgeons in the county.
She completed her fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, after having completed a residency in dermatology at Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions. She obtained her MD degree Cum Laude at the University of Maryland School of Medicine (Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society). Prior to that, she obtained a B.S. in Biology from the University of Maryland.
Dr. Ravi has spent the past 14 years researching melanoma and other cancers at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and the University of Maryland. Her research has been published in some of the world’s most respected, peer-reviewed journals and she has also presented her findings at both national and international conferences.
Dr. Ravi served as President of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and was nominated by her peers for membership in the Gold Humanism Honor Society for high academic achievement, professionalism and compassion. She has also received numerous other academic awards from the University of Maryland.

Eingun James Song, MD, FAAD
Dr. Song is a board-certified dermatologist with an interest in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology.
Dr. Song graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a Bachelors of Science in Neuroscience. He went on to attend medical school at the University of Illinois at Chicago graduating with highest distinction and earning multiple awards and honors, including election into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society.
Dr. Song then moved to the West Coast to complete his dermatology residency at the University of California Irvine. While in residency, he consistently scored in the top percentile nationwide on the annual American Board of Dermatology examination.

Ting-Lin Yang, MD, Ph.D.
Dr. Yang is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in medical dermatology. She grew up in White Rock, British Columbia, and received her Bachelor of Science degree with Honors from the University of British Columbia. She received her MD with honors (Alpha Omega Alpha) and her Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Yang completed her dermatology residency at the Washington University in St. Louis. Her postdoctoral research fellowship at the WashU Center for the Study of Itch focused on the neuroimmunology of itch in skin conditions such as atopic dermatitis and pruritus.
Dr. Yang has won many prestigious awards, including the Dermatologist Investigator Research Fellowship award from the Dermatology Foundation and the Doctoral Research Award from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, and has published scientific articles in top-tier journals such as Cell, Science Translational Medicine, and Nature Communications.

Mr. Baugher is a Board certified Physician assistant with specialized training in dermatology with more than ten years of experience in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology.

Rochelle Trussell, MMS, PA-C
Ms. Trussell is a Board certified Physician assistant with specialized training in dermatology with over 10 years of experience in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology.
She is highly-respected by her dermatology colleagues and referring providers and has a large, loyal patient following who travel long distances to see her. She is passionate about general medical dermatology, but she also has extensive training and experience with injecting Botox and is a Certified Medical Laser Technician (CMLT).
Ms. Trussell earned her Masters of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies degree from Midwestern University in Arizona in 2005. Prior to that, she completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish, with a minor in Chemistry, at Arizona State University.

Laura Corwin, PA-C
Ms. Corwin is a Board certified Physician assistant with specialized training in dermatology who recently joined us from the Chicago area where she had a large patient following and was highly-respected by her colleagues and referring physicians. Her practice is primarily focused on medical and surgical dermatology.
Ms. Corwin completed her Master of Medical Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Northwestern University in Chicago where she received the program’s Academic Achievement Award which only goes to one student each year for “exceptional academic achievement and clinical potential”. She was also ranked first in her graduating class.
Ms. Corwin previously completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Integrative Biology at the University of California at Berkeley and a Master of Science degree in Nutritional Sciences at the University of Washington. She has also worked in research at Stanford University, the University of Washington and Northwestern University.

Rachel Parine, PA-C
Rachel Parine, PA-C is a graduate of Western Washington University in Bellingham, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree. She subsequently earned a Master’s Degree from Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana.
Rachel has been practicing since 2011 and has experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including over six years with a Mohs practice in Seattle. Her interest in dermatology began at a young age and she is passionate about providing excellent care to her patients and educating them about their condition and treatment options.
She is a fellow in the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Washington Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA). Nicole Holmstrom, LME
Nicole Holmstrom, LME graduated Euro Institute in 2019, where she was certified in facials, waxing, chemical peels, + more. She received her masters at WA Laser Institute in 2020 performing laser services, microneedling, tattoo removal and IPL. During her time in school, she underwent extensive training and holds certifications for medical grade product lines including: ZO by Obagi, SkinCeuticals, PCA, SkinBetter, Epionce, + more.
Nicole’s passion for being able to help others feel confident in their own skin is her favorite part about this industry. Achieving beautiful, healthy skin through personalized home care and treatment plans is a goal that Nicole aims to reach with every single one of her patients.

Leann Knutson, RN

Leann earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing degree at Brookline
College in Phoenix, AZ. After years of working in the Neonatal ICU, she went
on to work in Dermatology, specializing in Mohs micrographic surgery and
gaining an in-depth knowledge of facial anatomy. This is where her love for
all things skin and beauty deepened, and she began her career in aesthetics
as a skilled cosmetic nurse injector. Leann provides a variety of non-surgical
aesthetic treatments:
